3M Tegaderm is a transparent film dressing that maintains the moist wound environment shown to speed healing and reduce scarring, while protecting the wound from water, bacteria, and contaminants. Its semi-permeable polyurethane film is waterproof on the outside yet lets moisture vapour and oxygen pass from the wound side, and the clear film lets you monitor healing without removing the dressing.

Best for superficial abrasions, partial-thickness wounds, post-surgical incision sites once sutured, and IV catheter securement. Not for infected wounds, heavy exudate, or full-thickness wounds. Works best on clean, minimally exuding wounds - if fluid pools under the film within 24-48 hours, switch to an absorbent dressing. Change every 5-7 days, or sooner if the edges lift or fluid reaches the border.
