CUSTOM COMPOUNDING
When it doesn't exist off the shelf, we make it.
When the medication you need isn't made in the right strength, the right form, or without an ingredient you can't tolerate — our pharmacists prepare it from scratch, in our on-site lab, built around the patient.

OUR LAB
Made on-site, often same day.
A real compounding lab
A dedicated on-site lab and a staff pharmacist who compounds full-time — not squeezed in between dispensing.
Same-day in most cases
Most compounds are prepared the same day. We'll give you a realistic ready time when you drop off the prescription.
Urgent? 1–2 hours
Time-sensitive preparations — like dexamethasone liquid for a child with croup — can be ready within 1–2 hours.
WHEN IT HELPS
Why patients are referred to us.
You don't always need a compounded medication — but it's often the answer when a standard product won't work.
- A commercial product isn't available — back-ordered, discontinued, or no longer manufactured.
- The dose isn't made commercially — you need a strength between, or below, what's on the market.
- Swallowing pills is difficult — a liquid, cream, or dissolvable form instead of a tablet or capsule.
- An ingredient causes a reaction — formulations free of dyes, gluten, lactose, preservatives, or specific allergens.
- Taste is the barrier — flavouring turns a refused medication into one that's actually taken, for kids and pets alike.
- A custom combination makes sense — combining several actives into one cream or capsule to simplify a regimen.
WHAT WE COMPOUND
Built around the patient.
Topical & pain preparations
Custom creams and gels — including combination formulations for localized pain, nerve pain, and musculoskeletal conditions.
Pediatric formulations
Liquids, dissolvable forms, and flavoured preparations in child-appropriate doses — dye-free and allergen-conscious where needed.
Dermatology & skin care
Tailored topical preparations made to the concentration and base your prescriber orders.
Specialty & hard-to-find
Reformulating drugs that are discontinued or back-ordered so therapy isn't interrupted — including low-dose naltrexone (LDN) and hair-restoration formulas.
Veterinary compounding
Custom strengths, transdermal preparations, and flavours (chicken, beef, fish, and more). We work directly with your vet — pet health →
Hormone preparations
Custom-strength creams and capsules prepared to a prescriber's specifications when a commercial product isn't suitable.
By consultationThe categories above reflect common requests. Not sure whether something can be compounded? Call us — we'll tell you honestly whether we can make it, or point you to a sterile compounding facility if that's what's required.
WHAT TO EXPECT
From prescription to pickup.
A prescription comes first
Compounds need an order from your physician, NP, dentist, or vet. We're happy to speak with your prescriber directly.
We confirm the formulation
Our pharmacist reviews the ingredients, strength, and base, and flags anything worth discussing before we begin.
We prepare it
Made individually in our lab — most the same day, urgent preparations within 1–2 hours. We'll give you a ready time up front.
We let you know it's ready
You'll get a call or text when it's prepared, with clear instructions for use and storage.
QUALITY & SAFETY
Held to national standards.
Every preparation is made in-house by trained pharmacy staff following NAPRA's Model Standards for Non-Sterile Compounding.
- Pharmaceutical-grade ingredients from licensed Canadian suppliers
- A documented formulation record and quality checks for every preparation
- Appropriate beyond-use dating and storage guidance on every label
- A pharmacist available to answer your questions at pickup and after
Compounded preparations are customized for an individual patient based on a prescription. They are not Health Canada–approved commercial products, and are intended only for the patient they're prepared for.
A note on insurance
Coverage for compounded medications varies by plan. Some private and provincial plans cover them; others don't, or cover only the ingredients. We'll provide the documentation your insurer needs and can give you a cost estimate before we prepare anything — so there are no surprises.
