Bausch + Lomb Soothe Antibiotic Drops are an over-the-counter antibiotic drop that treats external bacterial infections of the eye and ear (such as bacterial pink eye and swimmer's ear). An alternative to Polysporin Eye and Ear Drops, with the same active ingredients as the leading product. Suitable for children 6 years and over. 10 ml bottle.

Active ingredients (per mL): Gramicidin 0.025 mg; Polymyxin B sulfate 10,000 units.

Other ingredients: Alcohol, benzalkonium chloride, poloxamer, propylene glycol, water.

Directions: adults and children 6 years and over - instill 1-2 drops, 4 times a day, into the infected eye or ear. Repeat for 7-10 days for pink eye, or 5-7 days for swimmer's ear.

Warnings: For ophthalmic and otic use only. Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if the cause of the pink eye is unclear; if you have a marked sensation of something in the eye, sensitivity to light, continuous discharge, eye pain, impaired vision, severe ear pain or hearing loss, fever, sore throat or runny nose, or glaucoma; or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. To avoid contamination, do not share the container or touch the tip to any surface, and replace the cap after use. Vision may become blurry; wait until it clears before driving or using machinery. Overuse may increase eye redness, and prolonged use may increase antimicrobial and fungal resistance. Do not use if the solution changes colour or becomes cloudy. Stop use and ask a doctor if you develop eye irritation, vision changes, or hearing loss, if symptoms worsen or do not significantly improve in 2 days, if new symptoms develop, or if infection persists after 2 days of discontinuation.
