Prescriptions

 

How do I refill my prescription? You can refill prescriptions online through our eRefills portal at orleanscommunitypharmacy.erefills.ca, through our mobile app, by calling us at 613-824-3111, or by visiting us in person.

 

How do I transfer my prescription from another pharmacy? Simply call us at 613-824-3111 with the name of the medication and your previous pharmacy's name and phone number. We will handle the transfer on your behalf.

 

Can I send a photo of my prescription? Yes. You can upload a photo of your prescription through our secure portal at orleansrxbooking.ca.

 

How long does it take to fill a prescription? Most prescriptions are ready within 30 minutes during regular hours. Complex or compounded preparations may take longer — we will advise you of the timeline.

 

Delivery

 

Do you offer free delivery? Yes, we offer free local delivery on orders over $80. For orders under $80, a delivery fee may apply.

 

Do you offer same-day delivery? Yes! Orders placed before 2:00 PM are eligible for same-day delivery within our delivery area.

 

What area do you deliver to? We deliver throughout Orleans and east Ottawa. Call us at 613-824-3111 to confirm delivery to your address.

 

Compounding

 

What is compounding? Compounding is the preparation of custom medications tailored to individual patient needs — different strengths, dosage forms, flavors, or without certain allergens.

 

Do I need a prescription for compounded medications? Yes. A valid prescription from a licensed healthcare provider or veterinarian is required for all compounded prescription medications.

 

How long does a compounded preparation take? Most compounded medications take 1-3 business days to prepare. We will advise you of the timeline when you place your order.

 

Travel Health and Vaccines

 

Do I need an appointment for a vaccine? Many vaccines are available on a walk-in basis. For travel health consultations and some less common travel vaccines, an appointment is recommended. Call 613-824-3111 to check availability.

 

How far in advance should I book a travel health consultation? We recommend booking at least 4-6 weeks before your travel date, as some vaccines require time to take effect or need to be given in multiple doses.

 

Pet Medications

 

Do I need a prescription for my pet's medications? Yes. A valid prescription from a licensed Ontario veterinarian is required for all prescription pet medications.

 

Can you compound medications for my pet? Yes. We specialize in veterinary compounding and can prepare custom formulations in flavors pets enjoy.

 

Insurance and Payment

 

What payment methods do you accept? We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, debit, cash, and Apple Pay.

 

Do you accept drug insurance? Yes, we are set up to bill most provincial and private drug benefit plans directly.

 

Privacy

 

How is my health information protected? Your personal health information is protected under the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).
