Did you know that Ontario pharmacists can now prescribe medications for over 19 minor ailments — without you needing to see a doctor? This OHIP-covered service is available at Orleans Compounding Community Pharmacy and can save you time and money.
What conditions can we treat? Our pharmacists can assess and prescribe for conditions including: urinary tract infections (UTIs), oral thrush, tick bites, shingles, hay fever and allergic rhinitis, cold sores, pink eye (conjunctivitis), insect bites and hives, muscle sprains and strains, dermatitis and eczema, and more.
How does it work? Simply walk in or call us at 613-824-3111. Our pharmacist will conduct a brief health assessment, provide a diagnosis, and prescribe appropriate medication if needed — all covered by OHIP with no referral required.
This service is designed for minor ailments only. If your condition is complex or requires further investigation, we will refer you to the appropriate healthcare provider. Visit our Minor Ailments page or come see us at 2746 St. Joseph Blvd, Unit 100, Orleans.
