The GuardianTM 4 sensor and transmitter (available at no cost, contact Medtronic to order one) are compatible with the MiniMedTM 780G system, indicated for use by patients aged 7-80 years with Type 1 diabetes, whose total daily dose of insulin is 8 units per day or more.
The GuardianTM 4 sensor is inserted just under the skin, accurately measuring glucose values and relaying these values to your MiniMedTM 780G system. MiniMedTM 780G system with GuardianTM 4 sensor now comes with no fingersticks when using system in SmartGuard technology†.
No fingerstick required for calibration. Less to do, less to worry about.
Must be used with the new GuardianTM 4 transmitter.
